Clubhouse International
Our Mission and Our Work.
There simply are not enough resources today for everyone with a mental illness who needs help. It’s a crisis situation and the numbers are growing. Clubhouses are a powerful demonstration that people with mental illness can and do lead normal, productive lives.
We are a non-profit organization that helps start and grow Clubhouses globally where people with mental illness can go to get their lives back. Each Clubhouse we open touches an average of 500 people!
Our Community Speaks Out About Our Global Impact. In this video, Clubhouse International’s Board Chair Jennifer Tedesco and Executive Director Joel D. Corcoran, and a number of our Clubhouse Founders, Directors and members themselves describe Who We Are.
Clubhouse Growing in California
Clubhouse International has been designated as a Center of Excellence (COE), for Clubhouse Services by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS).
We’re proud to be part of California’s effort to expand access to and strengthen the continuum of community-based health services for individuals living with significant behavioral health needs.
The Clubhouse Model of psychosocial rehabilitation has been helping people recover from serious mental illness since the 1940s. Our network of 370+ Clubhouses across the globe has a proven track record of helping adults living with mental illness reintegrate into society through work, education, housing, and friendship.
