Mission

Clubhouse Coalition California

An independent, public charity recognized by Clubhouse International as a state coalition.

Our Mission

CLUBHOUSES TOGETHER - CHANGING LIVES

Bringing transformative outcomes for those living with serious mental illness

The Mission of Our Coalition is to expand the number and quality of clubhouses across the state. We focus on creating access to the award-winning Clubhouse mental health recovery model for underserved populations, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. The coalition becomes a hub for training, accreditation, resource allocation and data sharing as well as an ongoing center for continuous innovation.

The Coalition also raises community awareness of the benefits of Clubhouses. Each Clubhouse is committed to providing adults who are pursuing mental health recovery the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Members of Clubhouses will have the benefit of belonging to a broad network of peers and other Clubhouses, all on the path of recovery and increasing upward mobility. The Clubhouse Model develops friendship, wellness, skill development, community support, education and employment, healthcare and education.  Local businesses and industry, policy makers and communities are all part of this fabric of support, acceptance and inclusion.

Strength in Numbers

Comprehensive mandate to enable and fortify the network

State resources provide value and economies of scale for all clubhouses.  A strong coalition builds power and opportunity long term. We are advocating for the State to adopt and fund the Clubhouse Model as part of an overall strategy to respond to urgent needs and opportunities
